The mission of
Gordon Eye Care @ The Narrows
is to help you see better, help your eyes feel better, and coordinate ocular problems and systemic conditions for the best medical outcome. Dr. Gordon investigates each vision and ocular complaint in order to understand your eye issues to form a successful plan.
About Dr. Sarah Gordon
Dr. Sarah Gordon is a native of Cleveland, Mississippi. She went to undergraduate school at Delta State University in Cleveland. She was the editor of the year book at Delta State and a member of the Tri Delta Sorority. She was accepted to University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry after her junior year at Delta State. After receiving her Physiological Optics degree and Doctor of Optometry degree from UAB, Dr. Gordon opened her practice in the Inverness area. In 2019 she sold her practice. Her passion for excellence drove her to open her own office again at The Narrows.
Dr. Gordon is an active member of the Alabama Optometric Association and was honored to serve on the board of directors, several committee chair positions, and as President. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and served on the Quality Assessment and Improvement Committee for 8 years. Dr. Gordon has received The Optometrist of the Year Award in Alabama and the UAB School of Optometry Alumnus of The Year Award.
Dr. Gordon truly cares for her patients and strives to help them look and see their best. She considers it a privilege to serve her community and remains passionate about providing the finest eyecare possible for every individual that visits her office.
She resides in the Inverness/Greystone area with her husband Ronald Dichiara and their dog, Rose. Dr. Dichiara is an endodontist and owns his practice in Hoover, AL.
Our Staff and Office
Dr. Gordon started and owned an eye care practice for over 30 years in the Inverness area. After selling that practice, she decided that it was better to own an office to ensure the best quality of care and technology for patients. Her mission has always been to provide superior eye care with a passion for excellence and unmatched quality for every patient.
